Shoebox of Hope Ministry

Homeless"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
He anointed me to preach
the gospel to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release
to the captives,
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to set free those who are oppressed,
to proclaim the favorable year
of the Lord."
Luke 4:18-19

The Shoebox of Hope Ministry is were we bring hope to the homeless and those in need through our efforts, time and giving. As Ambassadors for the Lord, we reach out to the highways and byways with the basic necessities for those who are without. We   provide them with words of encouragement, prayer and resources to aide them in their current situation.

Throughout the year, this ministry hits the streets to deliver to the homeless one person at a time with the basic necessities of life. In the fall we distribute coats, hats, scarves, gloves and blankets.  We work in supporting established homeless shelters by ministering the Word and distributing our donated and purchased items in their shelters.  In addition, we raise founds to aid disaster relief efforts like the Tsunami, Hurricane's Katrina & Rita along with other types of natural and man-made disasters.

This ministry is sustained through contributions, drives and cash donations from church members, guests, friends and local businesses.
